La Jolla Caribe is an exclusive multi-level luxury vacation home with large, comfortable interior and exterior living areas all finely appointed and featuring unbeatable views of the North shore of St. John. High on the hillside with cooling tradewind breezes and bordering the Virgin Islands National Park, La Jolla Caribe is a spot to truly getaway from it all with friends and family or enjoy a very private romantic stay for one or two couples.  



Passing through the double french entrance doors will bring guests into the spacious great room  with its open floor plan featuring high vaulted ceilings, a luxurious and comfortable living room area, indoor dining area with elegant glass topped table and seating for eight, and a full chef's kitchen all decorated in an island motif.  There are no stairs needed to access the upper main level of La Jolla Caribe so this portion of the villa is fully handicapped accessible. The living room offers a large flat screen HDTV with cable service, DVD player, IPod docking station, and stereo/CD system for viewing and listening pleasure. The fully equipped kitchen featuring new Whirlpool appliances and includes everything you will need for packing a lunch for the beach or preparing gourmet meals at home.

A focal point of the great room is a full wall sliding glass and screen doors which open to an expansive wrap around deck which when opened, will let in the cooling mountain breezes together with unobstructed and awesome ocean views.  The upper level, wrap around deck creates a relaxing environment with seating areas and lounge chairs for enjoying morning coffee or tea and evening sundowner cocktails. A sliding glass and screen door from the interior dining area leads to the side deck where there is a covered alfresco dining area with seating for 8 and a small service bar with beverage cooler.

There are two private bedrooms located on the upper level of this home. One bedroom is accessed just inside the main entrance and features a comfortable king bed (which can be converted to twin beds, a futon that converts to a queen bed, ceiling fan, flat screen TV with DVD player and en suite bath. The second main level bedroom is accessed just outside the sliding glass door to the alfresco dining deck and features a comfortable queen bed, ceiling fan, safe for storage of valuables, and en suite bath. Both bedrooms feature full wall, wooden louver and screened windows which allow cooling nighttime breezes to permeate the sleeping areas.

The second level of the villa is accessed directly from the lower parking area and from stairways from the upper level parking area and deck. This level features a two bedroom suite consisting of twin beds (that may be converted to a king bed) in one room and a queen bed in the other room and a shared en suite bathroom. The twin bedroom has a ceiling fan, sliding screened glass door to the deck area and open air screened window openings. There are drop down wooden shutters on the windows which may be lowered for more privacy or if a passing shower causes rain to blow into the room. The adjacent queen bedroom features wooden louver windows with screens, a ceiling fan and privacy door. There is also a safe in this room for storing valuables. There is also an air conditioned Den/TV/Game Room room with two twin sized day beds on the second level as well as the guest laundry facilities. The deck on this level offers panoramic ocean views and comfortable seating areas ideal for reading and lounging away from the Caribbean sun.

The lower level of the villa is accessed by a staircase from the second level and features a very private bedroom with king bed (which may be converted to twin beds) and en suite bath. The screened, full wall windows allow fresh air comfort in an elegant environment. The 6-8 person Jacuzzi hot tub is located on this lower level right next to the signature surfboard marquee and features breathtaking views of the beautiful waters and beaches of the North Shore of St. John.

Our Guest Services personnel are at your service prior to your arrival and at all times while you are vacationing on St. John


Arrival Services

Contacting CimmaronStJohn Guest Services upon your arrival in the beautiful US Virgin Islands will help to insure a trouble free transition to your vacation home.  We will be expecting your phone calls or text messages from the St. Thomas Airport (or whatever port of entry you arrive at) and again when your are boarding the ferry on St. Thomas to St. John.  Upon your arrival on St. John, your party will be met by a member of the CimmaronStJohn Guest Services team who will assist you in picking up your rental car(s), if applicable, and then escorting your party to your vacation home.  If you arrive on the passenger ferry from St. Thomas, your ‘Greeter’ will be waiting at the end of the ferry dock as you disembark.  If you rented your vehicle(s) in St. Thomas, you will be transported to St. John on the car barge ferry which departs only from Red Hook in St. Thomas.  When the barge lands on St. John, you will exit the dock area to the street and there you will be met by a member of the CimmaronStJohn Guest Services team who will escort your party to your vacation home.   In either case, your ‘Greeter’ will be holding a welcome sign with your last name on it.  Once you arrive at your vacation home, you will be given a brief orientation of the vacation home, its features/amenities and to some of the traditions unique to our island home. Your  ‘Greeter’ will also provide keys to the property and  detailed instructions regarding procedures to follow when departing at the end of your vacation.

Welcome Bag & Information Binder

When you arrive at your ‘Island Vacation Home’ you will find a complimentary, custom designed Welcome Bag in the fridge complete with beverages and snacks for your party.  You will also receive a Welcome Folder which contains current copies of the St. John Guidebook, Maps and the Places to Explore book as well as a welcome letter, guest response form and miscellaneous last minute information on activities, special offers, etc.   Additionally there is an Guest Information Binder at the Property which contains complete information on the villa and ‘how to’s’ on operating and using all the equipment and amenities you will find there.  This Information Binder also includes a wealth of information on island life on St. John, including information on most St. John restaurants, activities, and duty free shopping locations.

Concierge Services

The CimmaronStJohn Guest Services department is generally staffed weekly from Monday through Saturday (and during our Holiday and Peak Seasons on Sundays!) from approximately 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Our knowledgeable staff looks forward to assisting you with their comprehensive local knowledge in recommending the many ways to spend your days and nights on St. John.  From boat trips, snorkeling and diving excursions, sunset sails, dining options, various water sports, hiking trips, shopping excursions, etc.,  we will be happy to assist you with the arrangements. The CimmaronStJohn Mobile App also gives our guests specific information about their particular rental property including instructions on how to use systems and villa features, WiFi passwords, security codes, driving directions and much more.  Additionally, our registered guests will receive periodic ‘push notifications’ from CimmaronStJohn informing them of special events, activities or health and safety information. The App is fully ‘cached’ so that all of the information will be available whether a guest has cell phone service or is temporarily out of the service area.


One of the primary goals of CimmaronStJohn Guest Services is to ensure that all of our Properties are meticulously maintained and are the cleanest vacation homes available on St. John!  We keep cleanliness is high regard and you can be assured that your vacation home has been thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival.  If your vacation home receives a complimentary mid-stay tidy up during your stay, your greeter will let you know when the housekeeper will be there and of course, if that timing is not convenient, we can arrange a more convenient time.  Arrangements for additional housekeeping services, at your convenience and cost, may be arranged by contacting our guest services concierge at the CimmaronStJohn Vacation Rentals office in Cruz Bay.



We take the extra steps to make sure that all of our Properties in perfect mechanical condition when you arrive and throughout your vacation on St. John.  Because of our extensive routine and preventative maintenance programs we are confident that your vacation will be as trouble free as possible.  Because there tend to be ‘jumbies’ occasionally at work on St. John, the CimmaronStJohn maintenance staff is available 24/7 to assist you with any maintenance issues that you may have during your stay.  We guarantee that we will respond quickly to any maintenance concerns and to repair/resolve the issue — all with the least disruption to your vacation.
